About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In August 2013 me and my girlfriend Melanie are going to explore the South-East of the States, especially the Mississippi-Delta and the Cities Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans. We are planning to get in touch with your famous culture and hospitality ;)

ABOUT ME

As long as I can remember I´ve been "outdoors", whenever it was possible to get in contact to interesting people and nature itself. Maybe that´s the reason why I´ve been a boy scout for about 12 years in my life.
Orginally I grew up nearby the black forest in the deep south of Germany. Later I moved to the lovely lake of Constance to get my parties, erm, exam at the university. I travelled alot of spots in europe. Right now I live in Hannover in the north of Germany.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it is hard to reduce your attitude in just one philosophical aspect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In about seven years, I learnt to know dozens of inspiring, interesting and pleasant couchsurfers trough my former apartment-sharing community. Therefore, I´ve been rather host than guest. I´m looking forward to switch sides ;)

Interests

Music is my most fundamental interest since I can remember. I played the guitar in lots of bands and projects throuhout all musical genres (jazz, blues, heavy f***ing metal;) for about 15 years. I love to attend concerts and learn to know new interesting tunes.

Furthermore I like tasteful arts, movies and books as well. In short: I love the beauty of human and natural creation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: mostly art-house productions like 21 Grams, Black Dynamite, Big Fish, Stranger than Fiction etc.

Music: I don´t like that usual Radio-Music without any heart. I prefer artist, who understand to write warm melodies, groovy Choruses and demanding riffs. Actually I love bands like: ...and you will know us by the trail of dead, queens of the stone age, deftones, kyuss, but I also love some miles davis, herbie hancock and b.b. king tunes

Books: T.C. Boyle, Irvine Welsh, Nick Cave, Michel Houellebecq, Haruki Murakami, and many more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived for 7 years with 13 great mates in a splendid ancient house at the Lake of Constance during my studies. So unfortunately I can´t point out one single event whilst this time;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can play quite good the guitar, but I guess I´m not the only one;) Maybe I could enthuse you for some traditionally german food?

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Italy, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
