About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Continue exploring no matter what.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 25 year old from San Diego, California. I'm really friendly, easy going, easy to please, and I love making new friends. I am open-minded and it is difficult to disappoint me...I am perfectly happy in most situations and am generally not picky about anything.

I have two great passions: history and languages, both of which I pursued in college. History never ceases to fascinate me. When I visit new places, I want to see the historical sites first, not just for their touristy appeal but because I am intrigued by their historical value. My other biggest interest is learning languages...I studied French in college and went on to live in France for my first year post-grad. I want to keep learning languages for the rest of my life, and my language "to-do" list is constantly growing. I already have Arabic and Polish programs on my computer and have begun learning those, and my boyfriend is Turkish and I hope to learn that language from him as well.

I love CouchSurfing because I love meeting people and making connections. I am enthusiastic about learning new things, and when I visit a new place the experience is greatly enhanced when I choose to couch surf rather than stay in a hotel; I find I get to learn more about a place when I have a connection with someone that lives there than I can find just in a guide book, and of course I also get to learn from my host the unique things he or she has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge.
