My name is Marleen, a 19 year old student from the Netherlands. I've always been interested in other cultures, history and meeting new people. I'm not the party-type of student. Instead, I prefer a good hike and visiting museums, especially on vacation. Although I love to get together with a small group of friends and enjoy an ice cold beer.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

About one year ago I became addicted to traveling (I never even set foot on an airplane before) and I found out it wasn't the cheapest addiction. But I'm not only on couchsurfing to spare some money. I'd love to meet new people and explore other cities/countries, and I think the best way to do that is to meet locals.

My taste in music depends on my mood. Most of the time I'm listening to folk/indie, but I also like rock, pop, classical music, grunge, etc etc.
I don't read often (which I think I actually should be doing) but I do watch a loooottt of Netflix series. I love some good sitcoms, detectives and documentaries. Currently I'm watching Bojack Horseman, the fictional bastard always cheers me up.

Algo increíble que he hecho

On my first holiday, I went with a group which I'd meet at the airport. There I would also find out where we were going. I went to Edinburgh, Scotland with 7 other lovely people. I'm still friends with some of them, as with the locals we met.
