Hey I am Marlen and right now travelling the Americas after my highschool graduation! Meeting people on travels and connecting with them is so incredibly fun and I hope to get to do it more often!
After my travels I want to return to Germany and start a german french history degre (I love history).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be able to travel more and actually take stuff from where I go through meeting ppl from there. In my experience, it is most fun to stay with locals, way more interesting than just staying in a hostel. I noticed that through my student exchange to france and visiting my friends abroad.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love lord of the rings, Mamma mia, pitch perfect, Grand Budapest Hotel, ocean's 11 and 8, Brooklyn 99 and Derry Girls. A book I really liked was When Women Were Dragons and right now I am reading the second part of a good girls guide to murder and a Frida Kahlo biography in Spanish (I try).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a week in the Peruvian Rainforest with a local family and it was the most amazing experience ever except that my friend got sick.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you german if you like, I can make german food with you the way my grandma makes it, we could do crocheting together, talk about culture and politics and explore history together.
