About Me

I am a former banker, now traveller.
I have spent 9 months in New Zealand in 2015/2016 and a year in Canada from 2016/ 2017.
After a short work stay in Berlin, Germany I am hitting the road again for a great adventure in Australia with my boyfriend Dayle, who I met over a year ago in Tofino, BC.
We are both seasoned travellers and are looking forward to meeting new people, see new places and learn new things in Australia.
Our first stop will be Melbourne in March, but after that we will go with the flow and will see where the road will take us.
We use all kinds of transportation: In Canada I owned a lovely car named Trixie that took us through half of Canada and then back again, but we also hitchhike, take busses, trains and planes.
If I am not driving, I try to walk everywhere. I am not happy unless I walk at least 8km a day. So if you know any hikes in your area or great walking tours of your town - please let me know, or even better, show them to me yourself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I am on couchsurfing, I have met kind people in many different towns. So far all of my experiences were pleasant.
Over the last three years, I have not stayed in a place long enough to have a place of my own (in Berlin I shared an appartment with 4 roommates, a dog and a guinea pig), but once I do, I want to host couchsurfers as well! What a great way to meet new people and show off 'your' town!

I have probably never been to your town, so please tell me about all the good coffee shops, bars and museums!

Love music, listening to it or playing (including singing loudly while driving).
I play the ukulele and it travels with me wherever I go.
Yoga is awesome or moving outdoors. Hiking, rock climbing, or just long walks through the town - who needs the bus?
I am a big fan of making food: Cooking, baking, making drinks. You name it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Too hard to choose... It ranges from Rock, Folk and Hip Hop to Oldies and Classical Music. Over all live music is my favorite. Lets jam together, I would like to listen to you play or go see a band at a bar or concert.
Tell me about your favorites and I will defintivly give them a listen!

Movies: Into the Wild, The Departed, Fight Club
Also many more, but these are my top three.

Books: The Harry Potter Series. And this has not changed since I was about 9 years old! Yes, the books are that good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job to start travelling and never looked back. That was three years ago and I am still on the road.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how bake a really good loaf of bread. I can make one for you or teach you how to do it yourself.

Learning how to play guitar and ukulele. Also I have tried to learn how to knit a few times, but I don't think I have a talent for that...

I am happy to share stories, good music and drinks.
