About Me

I'm an openminded, easygoing, responsible girl, always up for fun and exploring! I enjoy talking to interesting people. About there travels, experiences and dreams. I'm very bad at small-talking and don't enjoy it very much. I prefer "deeper" talks.
From 2013 to 2014 I've spend 6 months in Portugal (doing European Voluntary Service) and after that I was an Au-pair in the UK. Now I'm studying "Industrial Environmentalprotection and Process Technology" and just finished my BSc ;) I like sports, especially climbing and just started with CrossFit 2 months ago, i love to be in the nature, but also good books and good music! :) The autumn semester of 2016 I was in Portugal again, doing Erasmus (exchange studies) for 6 months. In April 2017 we've been backpacking through Sri Lanka for a month and it was awesome! In the following summer holidays I was a volunteer in Nepal for a month and afterwards hopped over to Thailand and Laos for three more weeks of exploring and backpacking :) Spring 2018 I spent 2 months in Nigeria doing an internship. From there on I wasn't on any mayor trips except for a weekend in Bratislava and one in Berlin but this summer I am going to do an Interrail travel through western europe (mostly Benelux-countries and surroundings) for a month and am really looking forward to it. Also I'm vegetarian for the planet and believe that everyone of us can have an impact by changing some habits.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't regret anything you do, cause in the end, it makes you who you are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like the idea of staying with locals when you're in a new country, city or place. The experience and memories are more intense and lively. You can explore and see so much more with all the personal insights of a local.
Until now I've only participated as a surfer, as I didnt have the opportunities to host in the (student)houses I've lived until now :/ But as soon as I'm living in a place big enough I'd really much like to host people and show them my life, country and culture.

I met some great hosts during my trips around the UK, Ireland and Portugal! All of them were so welcoming and happy to show me around or giving me some special tips on where to go and what to see. My travels wouldnt have been the same without all of them, on this way: a big THANK YOU to all my former hosts :))

Interests

I like sports: I started climbing when I was 6 years old and still love it. 2 months ago I started doing CrossFit. I'm a cat and dog person, love them very much!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a variety of music genres. But usually its more the chilled stuff. I enjoy listening to acoustic guitars very much and am generally impressed and fascinated of passionate musicians. Also while going out I like drum and bass.

I like action-movies and also romantic comedies or just fun movies. I don't enjoy watching horror movies especially the more realistic and thrilling ones.

Books: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings were very captivating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All the travels I did so far. These experiences made me to the person I am today.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some austrian German and some "cheers"-phrases in foreign languages and am happy to learn different words in other languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to cook some nepali "Dahl Baht".
