About Me
Hello!
I am an English and Global studies major who has just been freed from the oppression of a job, and has decided to travel around South East Asian until I feel like it's time to go back to Canada.
I had been working as an elementary and middle school English teacher at a private academy in South Korea.
I'm unbelievably excited to get into a warmer climate and explore!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Through friends who had gone through Couchsurfing I've really heard nothing but good experiences. I have never tried it before, but it seems like a great way to meet locals and other foreigners with similar ambitions.
Interests
My number one hobby is sports. I love volleyball, and hiking, and playing pick-up anything.
I have been studying Korean for the past year, and am trying to pass a TOPIK exam once I am finished my travels.
I also knit. I am an amateur, but I have successfully knit a scarf, so....

Music, Movies, and Books
I love K-Pop, obviously because I've lived in Korea long enough for that to be enjoyable. I listen to a lot of Robyn, Tragically Hip, TOKiMONSTA....my musical taste is quite eclectic. I just do not listen to country music.
I read a lot, and watch a lot of movies shows so picking one as a favourite isn't possible or needed. Again, I have quite vast taste in both movies and books (My favourite T.V. show is Broad City).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled to India for a month and worked in an orphanage.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not completely sure what this box means but I can obviously teach and share any of my hobbies, which are basically all of my skills as well.
I very much enjoy learning languages. I hope to learn more about photography so I can have a collection of great, tangible memories or my travels.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would hope to share my Canadian culture, my love for K-pop, the English language, and some great conversations.
