My name is Marlies and I grew up in the Netherlands in a lovely family with 3 siblings. Lots of fighting when we were younger, but that's what you've got siblings for. I've got a bachelor degree in midwifery and in nursing. I worked a little while as a midwife, but figured out that nursing is more my niche.

I'm kind of a well functioning introvert. I need time alone, like to observe and think. But I also love meeting new people, places, cultures and what not. I don't think I am the most difficult person, actually very easy going.

I want to get to know other cultures and the best way to do that, I believe, is to submerge yourself in the culture. I dont believe that staying in your own comfortzone will allow you to grow and to experience life at it fullest.
