ABOUT ME

I'm fun-loving, friendly, have a deep sense of morality and adore meeting new people and having new and exciting experiences. Having raised a son alone for the last 16 years, I haven't had much opportunity to travel. I intend to change that starting now! Hopefully, the CS community can make the world a little more accessible and I'll get to meet some amazing people in the process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed with a host in Alicante and met other people for drinks. This project is amazing, it enables you to meet people you would never otherwise have met and therefore opens doors to experiences you normally just wouldn't have.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my favourite books is Catcher in the Rye by Salinger. I have really eclectic tastes when it comes to the arts, but I defnitely have a soft spot for films and t.v shows with superheroes and the supernatural: Batman, Spiderman, Ironman, X-men, Heroes - I love 'em all! Battlestar Galactica is one of the greatest T.V shows of all time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have led quite a sheltered life on the travelling front, but I think the amazing thing I've done is to raise my son alone and teach him to be a good, honest and open human being who has integrity and respects others. Not an easy task, I can tell you, but he's a great lad so I'm pretty proud of myself :)

I'm an English teacher - I teach English to foreign students, so I already have the privilege of meeting and teaching people from all over the world. I would be only too happy to help CS folk with their English skills! I am learning Spanish, so a language exchange during a stay would be great!
