Hey!
I'm half scottish and half French, (from "bretagne"), and the celtic blood and culture is a strong part of who I am and what I like to share when I host people in my home.
I am a very curious person, I love learning new things, discovering and sharing people's passions and hobbies, and I am always willing to share a meal, a drink or a couch in my home.
I am a musician full time in Switzerland, pianist, and flutist, I play in many different kind of bands in France and Geneva where I currently live. I love Jazz, but did 20 years of classical music before switching to the other side...
Slacklining and Freediving are two hobbies in which I invest my time and body. I travel twice a year in Egypt to train for freediving, and slacklining is also a sport I love to do while traveling. I am also a snowboard instructor during winter in the mountains in Geneva.
I live in a big house with 7 other people since 5 years, in the countryside of Geneva, with chickens, a cat, a dog, and we take care of a big garden patch. Living with other people is a lifestyle I love in these conditions and I would love to be able to live like this for many more years. I am also a fan of growing stuff, my room is full of plants, and it's something which brings meaning in my life.
I am currently doing a sabatical year after studying for 8 years, in diffent subjects: 3 years of physics, followed by a classical music Masters in teaching, and now for 2 years, I have been exploring the jazz world and I believe I have found my dedication for the next part of my life.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

I'm traveling for three months in South America, starting with Ecuador, then Peru and Bolivia, and I'd really like to get to know the people and the places I travel too, from a different perspective than just an observer. I think/hope, that by couchsurfing i can meet some nice people who are willing to share a bit of their life to a stranger who comes to discover a new world. Discover the places to go to, where I could play and listen to music with other people, share a meal, and open up to a new culture in general.

I love many many musics... Jazz is now my thing (sound track of cowbow bebop just blew my ming...) , but I love Afro cumbia, Afrobeat Fela Kuti, techno, "chanson française", Snarky puppy...
I am a fan of Brassens, a french singer and poet who is my all time idol, with Frida Kahlo.
I am a book worm... I read, ALOT. Alot of fantasy, with my favorite authors being Trudi Cannavan, Terry Pratchet, but also Robin hobb, Robert Jordan...
I am also a fan of science fiction. But I read alot of different things aswell... Mangas and Anime's are one of my weaknesses. Reading is sort of my drug. I can get quite antisocial if I get too enthousiastic on a book.

I love cooking for people, playing and listening to music. In my home I share the couch, the food, andgeneraly my enthousiasm for living life fully.
Making people happy is one the things which make me happy, and I believe that sharing food, discussions, activites with other people, in general actually just communicating, is the thing which brings happiness and meaning to my world.
