ABOUT ME
Hello! Previously quite active with Couchsurfing, I'm looking to get re-involved with the community.
I grew up in Southeast Texas along the Gulf of Mexico, and since have lived primarily in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with a brief stint in Omaha, Nebraska, where I met my partner. We now live in Denton, TX
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've previously hosted and am looking to be able to work toward providing a space to host again in the future. That being said, currently we are unable to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has been a valuable and SUPER accommodating resource. I've used it as a surfer very few times, but have hosted several times more in a previous home. I've met some super interesting, friendly, accommodating folks who have shown me how friendly and accommodating we can be when we put a little effort into caring for each other.
Interests
Probably my biggest (non-CS) motivation to travel has been my interest in the National Park Service. So far I've visited 140+ NPS units and hope to visit all 420+ of them! It's taken me extensively throughout the country to far flung places I would never have had the reason to travel to otherwise, and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Music is actually what has most spurred my Couchsurfing adventures. Previously I lived in a house venue where we hosted touring bands that stayed in our home on regular occasions, and I used the same space to host Couchsurfers a few times.
Also the times that I have surfed were during my travels to see shows of some of my favorite bands (I'm a huge Saddle Creek nerd). Historically some of my favorite bands are Bright Eyes, Xiu Xiu, Cursive, and lately I've joined the wave of Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers, with a ton of Carly Rae Jepsen thrown in for good measure.
Films: Avid collector of Criterion Collection films, wannabe film snob but not that pretentious about it I promise (I hope).
