About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the world in which I live in to the fullest. No stone left untouched. Teach others and provide insights and receive knowledge from them as well.

ABOUT ME

I am outgoing. You can pick me out in a crowd because I will be laughing the loudest. I am artistic and may sometimes have a stern look on my face because I tend to think deeply about subjects. I love cooking food for myself, my friends and my family. Food is a way to connect and share with people and it is a beautiful thing.

I work with kids as a nanny and they are quite a challenge, in a good way.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others how you want to be treated, everyday is an opportunity to do something new, everyday is a lesson and make one person smile a day. I live my life because it is a gift.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I finished school last year and I am going to live my dream of traveling the world. I participate by meeting up with people and I will be a full time surfer seeking to experience all the flavors of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Staying with a couple of great hosts in Germany which made me appreciate Couchsurfing in a whole new way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I feel the same way about music as I do about food; everything is at least worth a try. That being said I have a lot of staple artists that I find myself listening to, but I'm never afraid to try something new.

I have been reading a bunch of philosophy from Descartes, Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus, Kant, Hume, Russel, Frege....the list goes on. I am in the middle of reading The Enchantress of Florence by Salman Rushdie and it is a very good read. Others are A Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings, A New Earth, The Buddha's Brain, Great Expectations, The Kite Runner....I will add more.

Movies that I really enjoy would be Inception, Looper, The Avengers, Elysium, Young Frankenstein, Run Lola Run, Inglorious Bastards, Tucker and Dale v.s. Evil...again many more that I will add.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat on a balcony in Barcelona and watched the soft rain fall onto the cobblestone streets which turned those streets into vibrant mirrors that served as an introspective tool to the people. I wanted to add climbing Matthes Crest in Tuolumne was quite amazing as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn what it is like to live in another person's shoes, wake up to a different city, speak and enjoy a different language and experience a different culture. Culture is what unifies people, I don't think it should drive us apart. Each culture brings something to the table and each person has knowledge they can share. Sharing is caring and caring is the basis of a community.

Teach; self - development, visualization meditation, vipassana, swimming, rock climbing, calisthenics, weight training, cooking

Learn; bread making, languages of all sorts, copy writing (SEO marketing), more efficient travel

Share; ideas, happiness, joy, love, truth

What I Can Share with Hosts

What can I share? Hmm, my stories, my poetry, my music, my ideas and my ears to listen.

I can share my skills in the kitchen, my adventurous nature to explore my surroundings and my eagerness to learn.

I'm sure we can teach each other something :)
