Hey there, I'm Marta. I work as an art therapist, and my husband teaches middle school. We're a blended family with two awesome boys – my son and my stepson. We're all big fans of mountain biking, and I'm especially passionate about shadow theater and helping families going through tough times, like high-conflict divorces.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing as a way to continue my lifelong journey of exploration and connection. Originally from Poland, I made the leap to the US when I turned 30, eventually finding myself living in the beautiful landscapes of Hawaii for a few years. Now, with a deep appreciation for the enriching experiences that come from immersing myself in diverse cultures, I seek out adventures in new places, preferring the social tapestry of local communities over the confines of resorts. Couchsurfing provides the perfect platform to not only find accommodation but to forge meaningful connections with fellow adventurers who share a passion for authentic experiences and genuine human connections.
