Hey, I'm Marta!

I'm originally from Poland, a pharmacist by profession, but a traveler at heart.

A few years ago I made a decision that changed my life. I left my jobs in Poland, saved some money, and decided to see what would happen if I followed my curiosity and started exploring the world a bit more seriously. That decision brought me to Malta to improve my English first :D I spent there four great months working and building valuable connections with amazing people that survived till now . After that I kept traveling until reality (and my budget) eventually sent me back to Poland.
I ended up staying there for about three years, and interestingly enough traveling made me see my own country in a completely different way. I started to appreciate Poland much more and even discovered a real love for Warsaw - a city I hadn’t valued before and the city that broke my heart to leave it behind.

Eventually life brought me back to Malta, where I now live with my boyfriend.

What I value most about traveling isn’t just the places, but the people. Some of the best moments come from simple things: conversations with strangers, shared meals, unexpected perspectives, or a walk through a city with someone who sees it differently than you do.

For me Couchsurfing is really about that - genuine human connection and the small moments that make the world feel a little smaller and a lot more interesting.
