Overview
About Me
I’m a freelance writer currently living in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, trying to live every day as simply and mindfully as possible and following my wanderlust in search of my gypsy tribe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couldn’t afford Airbnb – just kidding! There’s no question that saving money when you’re travelling can go a long way when you’re on a budget, but it’s the couchsurfer culture that really intrigues me. It encourages paying it forward – something this world so desperately needs more of – and it brings together like-minded individuals to share in our collective experience on this earth. It’s a reminder that we are all connected and it’s our collective responsibility to help each other and strive to make a difference – to have an open mind, an open heart, and maybe an open couch! :)
Interests
I’m a lover of travel and cooking, and I dabble in yoga, meditation, dance and art. I’m also intensely fascinated with the intricacies of the human mind and our collective evolution, which means delving into anything from psychoanalysis, to quantum physics, to spirituality and ancient history.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and anything that moves the soul and intrigues the mind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently took a leap of faith and left a soul-crushing corporate job to pursue a life of travel as a freelance writer (a work in progress) – and I can honestly say it was more terrifying than jumping out of a plane.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a fitness writer and passionate foodie, I can talk endlessly about how food nourishes and heals the body – and I can whip up a delicious, nutritious meal to do just that! And then, let the conversation flow with the wine...
What I Can Share with Hosts
No better way to share the love than sharing a home-cooked meal, some good laughs and good energy.
