Overview
About Me
Hey, I am a 24-year-old photojournalist based in Murmansk, Russia's biggest ice-free port. I am a member of the Barents Press - an international network of journalists in the Barents Euro-Arctic region.
A "native High-Northener" - that's about me :)
While traveling, I usually prefer to get acquainted with local atmosphere, culture and lifestyles of regular people, rather than check out all possible sights or trivial tourist attractions. But that also depends, of course, on the destination and on the mood.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Throughout my life, I never stop expanding my outlook in many ways. One of these ways is traveling and getting to know people of different nations and cultures. Couchsurfing appears to be a handy tool when it comes to people-to-people communication, and, obviously, an economical solution for a passionate traveler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My personal tradition - to take a dip or a short swim in ice-cold water of a mid-winter lake at least once a year. Yes, that's more than refreshing!
