I'm Marta. I'm from Poland and since 2012 I have been living in Berlin, Germany, where this summer I've got my Master's degree in Statistics. Now, I'm moving to the U.S. to continue my study in the PhD program in Economics at the University of Pittsburgh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because there is nothing better in this world than meeting new people and therefore changing each other lives. Besides, if it wasn't for couchsurfing, I wouldn't have been able to visit my top ten places, such as Tucson, Sedona, Flagstaff. Thank you all!

Interests

I love travelling and that's what makes me happy. This summer I've visited Spain and the Netherlands and had a great time there. Besides, I am a "street photographer". I like sport, so fitness, swimming, jogging and skating belong to my daily routine. As you can see below, I like movies and books. Recently I've seen "Whiplash" (highly recommended) and have read David Hunter series of Simon Beckett. Masterpiece!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Frankly speaking, everything what I did in Australia (thanks to the Conservation Volunteers Australia) and in Arizona (thanks to the Southwestern Research Station), i.e., encountered frogs inside the toilet, ants on the entire body, buffalo right next to the tent, rattlesnakes, where the “dining room” was, scorpions inside the shoes, etc.
