About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to find an equilibrium between the practical necessities of our dreadful time, and the human necessities of travelling and be the master of one's life !!

ABOUT ME

25, eager to participate in "changing the world" and our ways of life... I am an ecological activist (although never active enough)
When I travel I try to do it soberly, camping and couchsurfing, avoiding planes when possible (ie, when i stay on the european continent for ex.)
I am doing a PhD in History about Brittany and Wales (I'm in Wales now and then)

PHILOSOPHY

Act locally, think globall, and vice versa

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope I'll be able to participate soon, first by being hosted (thanks in advance !) and then by hosting, when I'll have an apartment. Given my reduced economic means it won't be very roomy but hopefully welcoming. I look forward to being able to welcome people and show them my town Rennes and my region Bretagne.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No couchsurfing experience yet ! I hope it'll come quick !

Interests

Interested in the way our world, our societies, evolve, and what we can do about it. I like discussing it, too, that's the point.
I like the so-called "cinéma d'auteur" (art films - ?!), though I'd like to see and know much more about cinema... My favorite filmmakers: Kubrick, Wenders, Tarantino, Almodovar, Allen, Mallick, Lang...
I had stopped reading novels for some years but I got back to it a year or so ago and re-discovered the pleasure of it : Authors like Saramago, Bolaño, Greene, really put me in a good mood...
I also read essays, usually of sociology and history.
And finally I like to talk about all that and so many other things when I meet people, although I like going out and dancing, too !

Authors : José Saramago, Roberto Bolaño, Armistead Maupin, Graham Greene, Alexandre Dumas.
Music : Les Rita Mitsouko, T-Rex, Lou Reed, Philippe Katerine, Gotan Project, ... I'm not a big music specialist, but i feel I could be a real music fan, so anyone willing to give a hand is welcome !!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

MMM given my reduced travelling experience, I'm pretty proud of my trip around el Cono Sur de South America, on my own and with a tent, in 4 weeks. Santiago de Chile - Mendoza (Ar) - Bariloche - Trelew - Rio Gallegos - Ushuaia - Punta Arenas (Ch) - Chalten (Ar) - Chile Chico (Ch) - Cohyaique - Chaitén - Puerto Montt - Santiago de Chile.
Mi mejor viaje hasta hoy. Mis mejores recuerdos, también...
