I have lived in Barcelona for the last five years. I work as a psychologist here.
I am from Salamanca, a very nice University town in the center of Spain.
I like tranquility but also some adventure. I like to travel and I have lived abroad in Ireland, Oregon (US) and the Netherlands.
I like to know people from different cultures and share our experiences. I think we always have many things in common and also I learn a lot from different view points.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a good way to know people from other countries at home and also to know local people when travelling and that it is the best way to travel, not only being a tourist.

Interests

I am vegetarian. I am interested in healthy eating.
I meditate and interested in spiritual practice.
I do swimming, running, hiking and yoga. At the moment also learning how to dance Lindy Hop!
I like going out with friends to have dinner and have a chat and laugh.
I like beer and wine, specially artesanal and local ones.
I like to listen to the elderly people, they have so much to teach us.
I like travelling in a way that I get to know the country and the people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading and have read many books. I like Garcia Marquez, Murakami and other authors. Lately I don't read novels so much.
I like music altough I am not a very musical person. My favourite styles are folk, rock and people just playing guitar. Not so much into electronic music or hip hop.
I like cinema. I like interesting movies, usually non comercial ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove all the way to Grand Canyon with some friends and when we arrived there it was all covered by the mist. Then when we were almost leaving I was able to see it! I also loved to see the giant secuoyas at Yosemite national park. They are amazing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to talk to people from different cultures and to share experiences. I am a quiet person but I like to talk and to have a beer or tea (or whatever) and have a nice chat. I like cooking and I am specializing in vegetarian dishes. I can salso cook spanish omelete (tortilla de patatas)!
