About Me

Hi!
I am Marta and I am so excited about my next trip!

Travelling has massively shaped my life. My parents have always given me a lot of autonomy and I have travelled lonely since I was little (for example when I was 14 around the US, when I was 17 around Serbia).
I grew up in a bilingual Polish-Spanish family and lived in both countries. Moreover, at the age of 14 I moved to the US in order to learn English and lived with a host family.
For the last few years, I have been heavily involved in competitive debating. For example, I was the member of the Polish National Debate Team and later a coach of the Team.

Recently, I graduated from French Language&Literature at the University of Warsaw. Also, during my studies I did an Erasmus exchange in Paris which was just incredible.

Moreover I enjoy walking and spending time with friends! And pretty much every weekend I travel for debating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love exploring the world and meeting friends! The best memories from my travels are with people that I met along the way! The more I am using this app the more I am impressed by how many I memories I can make thank to it. For example, during my Erasmus in Paris I made lots of friends thanks to the CS community picnics. Also, using Couchsurfing I did lingustic research for university about French spoken in the Maghreb an interviewed them thanks to the app. Later they hosted me when I was couchsurfing in Morocco!
