Hi, I am Marte. I live in Ghent, Belgium and just finished my studies in architecture and woodworking. Together with my friend Freya, who studied computer science, we are backpacking in South Korea and some other countries that are yet to be defined. We met in high school, and even though not often seeing eachother at home we always seem to come together to do these crazy travels every few years. We are open, social and always up for adventure. We are new to couchsurfing, but the idea always intrigued me. We don't have a specific timeline so are flexible in where and how long we are staying somewhere. It would be great to get to know the country we are travelling through the people living there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting new people, but am new to couchsurfing. From august on i will be travelling to south korea with a friend. We are very excited to get to know the country and the people. We both have backpacking experience (Mexico, Guatemala, India, Croatia, Germany, Spain,...) and plan on staying in South Korea for a while, before venturing on to the next destination. It would be great if you were willing to host us throughout our trip, we are definitely open to getting to know our hosts and having a good time together, but if you are busy that is also completelly okay. We are very easy guests who don't expect much luxury, we can be quiet and respectfull and will be forever greatfull!
