About Me

Hey there! My name is Martha. After I graduated from college in 2019, I embarked on a massive solo road trip to visit all 50 national parks in the lower 48 states (of the US). I stayed with about 50 Couchsurfing hosts along the way, developing a deep love for the community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My past experiences with Couchsurfing made my travels so much more rich and fulfilling than if I hadn’t become involved in the community. Very excited to finally be able to give back.

Interests

I’ve mentioned most of them in my profile, but a couple others I haven’t are canyoneering and medicine.

  • concerts
  • coffee
  • running
  • board games
  • backpacking
  • film photography
  • gym
  • indie music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s hard to pick one, so here are a few:

- I’ve traveled for 5+ months 3 times in my life.
- My longest backpacking (in nature) trip was 11 days.
- I’ve lived in 8 US states: Oregon, Connecticut, Virginia, Georgia, Arizona, Maine, Utah, and Washington. Southern Utah is the place I call home now.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give tips or answer questions about visiting any of the places I’ve traveled to or have lived in.

Happy to talk travel stories/cultural differences/language exchange. Currently learning Spanish!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to get to know my hosts, whether it be buying them a coffee, going on an adventure, or just walking around town! Happy to help around the house or make a meal to share. ☺️
