I'm a bit of an introvert but warm up quickly when in the company of friendly people. Animal lover who appreciates the simpler things in life. I'm not out to impress anybody, just hope to bring a little kindness into the world and help out where I can.

Couchsurfing provides an authentic rather than commercial experience of the place I'm visiting. I love to meet new people and get new perspectives. And I can't sleep in hotels!

I like new music based on quality musicianship and song writing abilities - Bob Schneider, JJ Grey & Mofro, Spoon... Also the greats like The Beatles, Eric Clapton. Not into the "Oldies" or "Classic Rock" for the most part. Well played music of all genres.

Well, nothing beats seeing a sea turtle laying eggs, an active volcano spewing lava, or being the first visitor of the day on an untracked beach.

I was a travel agent for 10 years and have continued to explore new territory. I've tried to be open and attentive to the different perspectives within different cultures. Housesitting has provided me with exposure to a number of unique individuals.
