I love to travel and learn learn about other cultures. I studied marriage and family therapy at University and I plan on going back to get a double Masters in Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapy when my son goes to first grade (one more year). I have two children, a 7 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. They attend a German immersion program (half day in German and half day in English) and I hope that someday we will be able to settle in Germany permanently. I love aerial arts (particularly silks and Lyra) and do that as often as I can. I love to take my kids hiking and on bike rides and I am trying to help them develop an active lifestyle from the beginning. I like to garden and cook. I love Indian food. I crochet, do a bit of sewing, and I make soaps and bath products. I work with a non-profit organization coordinating fundraising efforts.

I am happy to check out your favorite spots in your neighborhood if you care to share and hang out, but I'm also fine with heading out on my own to explore.

I'm on couchsurfing in order to meet people who can help me to really understand the culture of the area, make friends, and see things from a new perspective. When hosting, I like to do so not only for my own benefit it meeting new people and learning about their life experiences, but in order to expose my children to people from different walks of life. I want them to grow up appreciating and respecting differences among us while seeing that no matter where we come from we are more alike than not and we can always learn from and find something in common with others.

I love big band music, but listen across genres. I don't care for rap, heavy metal, or country. I don't watch much television, but I do enjoy movie nights with friends and family. I am a huge Audrey Hepburn fan, and I love old movies. Some of the more recent movies that I loved are Me Before You, Brooklyn, and La La Land. I love documentaries. I am an avid reader. My favorites are the classics, particularly Crime and Punishment, The Idiot, and the Picture of Dorian Gray, but I read lots of different types of books and Harry Potter is one of my favorite series.
