Hey there everyone!

My name is Martijn Antonides but for most people it's easier to just call me Martin.
The current age that i'm living my life in is 21. I have my own apartment in the city. Thats were i'm currently living together with my girlfriend. My week is mostly about making music meeting people, studying art and going out to a party now and then. I would say that I'm openminded when it comes to new experiences or believes.

I've been interested in music since I was about 9 years old. This interest has been developing ever since.
I was about 16 years old when I applied to a Music Education to make this hobby into my passion and work. I have graduated as a vocalist there. I would say that i'm more of a ''musician'' then I would call myself ''just'' a vocalist. Because besides singing, I also play; guitar, bass, alt-saxophone and drums. The things I love doing the most is producing (using Pro Tools). This because I can use all of my expertises to translate these idea's and concepts into what we humans perceive as music. I recently started working on a new album that i'm planning on recording and producing it all by myself. Therefore, challenging myself with new experiences will most likely give me inspiration and of course self-development.

Besides my huge love for music, I have fascination's in all sorts of forms that people describe as art. For example: photography, film, design, painting, poetry, philosophy etc.
I've also been very interested in human psychology as well.
So i'm always in for a mind-breaking session of philosophy about the human psyche.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would say that I really love to challenge myself and seek new experiences. Thats why I'm travelling alone with a very limited amount of money. As I mentioned earlier, I am a musician (this means money is always a problem for me). Going from place to place trying to earn my meal and my transportation by hitchhiking and playing on the streets hopefully will do. I hope that with using CouchSurfing I will meet a lot of interesting and nice people, that perhaps can offer me a place to sleep and visa versa of course. Any other traveller that wants to meet up would be fantastic of course!

Music, Movies, and Books

I was already afraid of this question....
There are so many different kinds of genre's I listen to, but the genre's that I listen and also produce the most are:
Neo-soul, Hip-Hop (old school), Jazz, Funk, Soul, Techno. I love to rave on Drum n Bass & Techno more then I would listen to it sitting relaxed on my couch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing that I've done where I'm proud of is that I formed my own band, wrote the music and recorded it. That.... was quite the experience.
