ABOUT ME

Ok, I'm Martijn. During the daytime, I go undercover as a computer programmer. When the sun goes down I turn into the drummer of the band Vals (http://www.myspace.com/valspunk) and photographer, mainly for a local music website (http://3voor12.vpro.nl/utrecht, it's in dutch though).

I'm a vegetarian, and think a lot about how people treat animals. I think about the way people treat people too, but animals have my main focus. I'd prefer you not to cook your meat in my kitchen, but if you're not vegetarian, you're still welcome of course.

If you would happen to check out my band, you'll notice that it's pretty, well, raw punk. My musical interest is very wide though, and actually I hardly ever listen to punk music, nor do I visit a lot of punk shows. I do go to a lot of concerts though, because of my (volunteer) job as concert photgrapher.

My couch is all yours, also if you have no couch or anything else to offer yourself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done my share of couchsurfing outside of this community. With my band we've toured a lot. We went to (Eastern) Europe three times, we have visited the US three times, and we'll definitely be back!
During these tours, we've slept at many people's houses, and we had a great time on, I think I can honestly say this, every occasion. Ok, maybe if you come drink a beer I'll remember some bad experiences. ;-)

I really want to return the favor. Unfortunately, I don't really have the room for complete bands, but we'll see what we can do.
