About Me

On new years eve I quit my job, and teenage dream, of moving from my childhood home of Stockholm to become a retoucher in NYC. Burned out and learning that achieving one's dreams is not the same as being happy, I hatched a plan. I bought a motorcycle in Florida.

The plan is to take it across the southern states and down into Mexico over the course of 3 months, making a documentary about my trip and the people I meet.

If I request to stay with you, know that you were chosen. I'm making this a trip about the people I meet, and as such I choose people that are interesting to me, that I see both common interests as differences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, so I wouldn't mind staying on your couch for a while and get to know you and your city.

Interests

I'm a devourer of interests. I've tried 5 different sports. I've obsessed about learning chess. I've tried learning instruments from the Guitar to the Violin to Trombone to the Ney Flute. I love cooking and baking. I love finding secret spots, and I love travelling on my motorcycle. Basically I love exploring, and I love getting to know people, and I love discovering new things. I love eating, and I want to get to know what you're passionate about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have very eclectic taste. Music ranges from hardcore electronic to late night jazz to free improv to folk rock. Books range from Italo Calvino and Ayn Rand to Bestsellers with dips into philosophy and anything that will expand my mind. Movies, literally anything that doesn't make me stupid, but I will never turn down a Tarantino flick, a Bergman movie, a good old fashioned western or any kind of feel good movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decide to quit my very (too) comfortable life to get to know the people in this country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love playing music! If you want to jam with me, I'm learning how to play jazz (and blues, and pop, and rock) on the piano. Also I'm pretty good at bread baking and photoshop.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you have a dutch oven I will bake bread for you. Also I'm pretty good at photoshop, so I'll happily share my knowledge.
