ABOUT ME

Mentorship. Mastery. Mission.

At home I am mostly quiet- curiously reading, meditating, working on my projects.
But I truly love people - the interaction, the difference, the stories!
When I am out I can approach almost anybody and make friends with them. Being social is definitely my strength.

I enjoy to laugh out loud, to meet new people, to go with the flow when I travel. And that is why I love to meet travelers when I am in Boston.

Coming out from small town outside of Boston near the historic town of Concord (Where the American Patriots won a decisive victory over the British Redcoats). Doesn't matter where, I have been always curious, active and social.

I wrote poetry since I could hold a pencil and now studying as an apprentice under my mentor. All of the success in my life comes not from me, but from the mentorship of those who have contributed to my life in amazing ways. The way my teachers have taken me under their wing has inspired me to take the message of mentorship around the world.

Anything that gives me a rush, is a bit risky and is challenging - is great. That is why I like debating and public speaking because you never know what is going to happen, but you still do your best at the moment.

Hope you smiled while reading!
And hope to hear back from you!
But some say hope ........ is for the pope!

Enchante,
Martin Kenny

PHILOSOPHY

1. LIVE IN THE MOMENT
2. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
3. BRING YOUR GIFT INTO THE WORLD

Get into an upward spiral of life, by getting focused, creating a vision and never giving up. Surround yourself with the type of people you want to become.

Proximity is power.

Build momentum over time and amaze yourself at what you can do

Most people overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do in a decade.

Give it time, stay focused, and never stop learning.

Create art. Every day.

Life happens out of your comfort zone (corny but intensely real) in order to grow.

Comfort or growth. Choose.

At the same time, one of my great teachers taught me, "Let me tell you how risky life is, you're not gonna get out alive."

Thus I am striving for the balance between ambition and letting go, between hard work and enjoying life, between being intense and chilled which is actually a life-long process.

Life is mastery.

Mastery is a way of life, a dedication to the process. Not a destination to reach or goal to accomplish.

This helps me to stay focused on the journey, and meditate as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

With my couch ;) But not for couch potatoes ;P

1) good time together, including lots of fun, great conversations, adventurous trips
2) making a warm cup of tea/coffee, breakfast with eggs and dinner for my guests
3) books exchange or we can also exchange dreams, mentors, wisdom

writing (poetry, short story writing, comic book writing, blogging)

Poetry - I have been expressing myself through this form of self-expression since the time I could write.

1) That it does not matter where you come from and what is the skin of your colour or level of education, or social status as long as you are willing to express who you truly are in that moment.

2) I learned how to be more self-confident, not try to live up to other people's standards, but to create art, challenge myself with what i think is my physical limits...

3) learned how to respect others.

4) not take losing seriously, but just as part of the journey of mastery

5) traveling - I haven't traveled too much, but I guess I love the journey.

I realize more and more that what I enjoy is the shared sense of connection and the shared moments of the journey. The sights you see here and there, the body language of the people around the world, the different pace of life, the variety of cuisines and different opportunities you might find upon the way.

exchange of ideas - I have managed to keep the small and curious boy within me. I like to be surrounded by people with different ideas and challenge myself with broadening my mind's perception. Some say, the truth is born in the dispute, but I don't like to argue. I am a good listener.

I created my first online business when I was 19 and found a way that I could express myself genuinely and still make money doing it.
