Overview
About Me
Currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Texas at Austin. Before that, I've lived in Austria (Vienna), the Netherlands (Utrecht), and Germany (Hanover, Berlin).
I like to travel, above all, and get to know people and food all over the world. I love cooking (and, in particular, cooking for friends) and try to do it as often as I can. Other than that, I read a lot and like going to the theater, art galleries, and music shows.
The way that I travel is usually by walking a lot. I think that the only way to really see, experience and understand a place is by walking, and allowing for serendipitous encounters rather than having a tight schedule and concrete plan.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a religious fanatic of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Beyond that, I listen to all sorts of music, (nu) jazz, classical music, alt rock, Hip-Hop, RnB, but my favorite musicians tend to be female singers with strong lyrics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experiencing hospitality in the Kaukasus - people are so humble and friendly, it is hard in capitalism to find people who are helpful and genuine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I am in Austin, I can share a couch in the living room at an apartment close to downtown, well-connected with busses.
