Hi ! My name is Martin and I'm 22. I come from Drôme, a french region near to Vercors mountains.

After a degree in industrial design, I decided to travel for one year in Norway. It was a great experience that allowed me to discover many way to meet people, including Couchsurfing. I have been welcomed many times by generous people, sharing unforgettable experiences, so now I have my own flat, It's time to be a host myself.

I live in Auxerre, near Paris (1H30 by bus, less by car), working three days a week in an association called Au Bonheur Des Chutes wich collect, transform and upcycle second hand materials . I'm pretty busy in my free time but I can definitly host you for few days and give you some advice if you want to visit the city. You may also help the association, if you want to, in one of our many projects (crafting bags, creating wooden fournitures, collecting material... )

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

My main reason to couchsurf is human contact. In my opinion, the best way to improve yourself is to share knowledge, feelings and opinions. Obviously, the economic aspect of couchsurfing is also interesting, but I think because it's free it creates healthier relationship.

Centres d'intérêt

I'm especially interested in upcycling, eco-design, autonomous lifestyle, low-technologies, circular economy and alternative way of consumation in general but I'm open to any conversation !

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

If I had to choose only one autor, I'll choose Serges Brussolo. He is a french writer - a little bit crazy - who has an unlimited imagination and a unic talent to create suspense. In my opinion, he is one of the best fantastic thriller writer.

About music, I am opened to every kinds from metal to classic depending of my mood, but currently I mostly listen Dub.

Let's go for a top 3 films : I recently fell in love with Blade Runner 2049, which concentrate everything I like in anticipation film (dark atmosphere, actual issues, coherent univers...). Also my childhood has been deaply marked by The Lord of the Ring and Mononoke Princess (Myasaki).

My knowledge is of course linked to my interests.
About sustainable way of life, I know many inspiring solutions like reparable tools, permaculture methods, smart autonomous house, alternative economy (symbiotic, circular, pair-to-pair...). I also try to stay aware about new technologies and scientific progress.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

There are many things I like to share, like good food and cosy time. I'm mostlly an easy-going person, enjoying talking, cooking or sewing but I also like more adventurous activities if I have the time like hiking, camping, kayaking or caving. It will depend what you want to do !
