About Me
CURRENT MISSION: Become a better person by traveling the world and bring back a full diary.
I'm generally a history/music/food nerd but I have so many other hobbies (sadly not enough time for all of them).
I DJ, play guitar, cello, piano and little clarinet. Together with my lovely wife Nia we have a shared passion for world cuisine and constantly cook, innovate and compete in the kitchen - we try to master and improve traditional recipes from around the world, so you can expect that we steal your best recipe 😎
I consider myself an "ambivert" - I enjoy social gatherings, concerts and meeting new people, but I also love spending time alone hiking in the woods or listening to the wind. I like the dark, the obscure and the "edgy" side of life.
I love the social part of travelling and this is the main reason I'm on CS - in order to understand the country better, one has to communicate with its citizens.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to meet up with people of similar (or vastly different) mindset and make some friends along the way. Everyone has a story to tell and I would be glad to hear (and be part of) yours.
We are currently in the first part of a 2+ years world trip. The greatest treasure of travel is to meet the locals and get a taste of their life to truly claim you've visited the country.

For my 6 year hitchiking career i have 70 000 kilometers shared experience with various amazing people.
I took a bath in the ice cold norwegian lakes and hiked in the Caucasus alone.
I have been to Chernobyl as well as to the oldest jungle in the world.
I have crawled through the narrow tunnels of the Cerro Rico mine in Potosi
I learned to drive a motorbike in Vietnam
I DJed in front of a 500 people crowd at a rave festival
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help you explore our local culture, meals and traditions.
Additionally I can teach you to play the guitar, cook something local or write your name in cyrillic :)
I love to debate and am also interested in the local politics, so If it's not a sensitive topic for you I'd love to hear what's happening in your country outside of the news.
I will be my most authentic self and I think that's the best "teaching, learning, sharing" you can expect to get out of someone.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook something traditional for you or show you some new interesting stuff in many spheres of life.
I can also show you how film music is made, and if you are a musician yourself we can probably make a jam session or something.
Foreign languages are of particular interest to me so I would love to learn some words in your native language.
