Hi guys,

I'm Martin 28 years old from Ingolstadt (Germany). I've studied mechanical engineering and work in the automotive field. I'm always curious and happy to meet new people. I like to share experience and knowledge about travelling, life and culture. Travelling is one of my passions.

I would describe myself as open minded and interested in lots of different activities like sports, traveling, movies and setting up new projects. To keep myself in shape I love to go running and do lots do other outdoor activities like climbing, mountain-biking, paragliding, scuba-diving and so on. At night I like to catch up with friends for having some beers and chatting a little.

After finishing high-school in 2010 I was keen on getting to know our planet. So I decided to study in Guadalajara (Mexico) for half a year. That was back in 2012. Because I liked it a lot in latin america i wanted to return to Mexico - so I did an internship in Puebla (Mexico).
Despite of longterm stays I've done quite a lot of travelling during the last years. Starting in 2011 with a tour crossing the russian federation with the trans-siberean-railway and spending some time in Mongolia, I also headed to South America in 2014 and 2015 for some backpacking down there.
In 2017 I spent 1/2 a year to write my master thesis in Melbourne Austrailia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love to get to know new people and help out fellow travellers. Great way to get to get to know not only the country and its sights but also what is way more important the people and its culture.

Spending a year in Mexico and getting to learn the latin american culture.
Travelling the trans-sibirean-railway and discovering the stunning landscapes around it.
Climbing and skiing Mount Elbrus, europes highest peak in the caucasus (Russia).
