About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a student from the Czech Republic, currently doing a Bachelor in international relations and studying Arabic in Kuwait. I usually travel the most in summers, mainly by hitch hiking. I prefer to travel alone, since it's easier to hitch a ride and locals are usually more willing to talk to one stranger than two or three of them. It also helps me to experience the country in a different, maybe a better way than I could if travelling with someone.
On the other hand, sometimes I get bored after spending a few days in a row only with myself. That's why I use CS - to find someone to spend some time with and see the city, or just hang out in the evenings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience with CS was in 2014 in Belgium and it was amazing. Since then I used CS in 3 more countries I guess.
I was lucky enough to have only good experience with people I met through CS. I enjoyed CS the most when I was in Iran, people there were extremely keen on offering me their beds, time and friendship.

Interests

I'm interested in learning languages. I've spend many years learning both English and German at school, but made some progress only with English. I got stuck with German on the elementary school level, but I have already come to terms with that (or just given up).
I speak some basic Persian which could possibly be my most favorite language. The most beautiful-sounding language I've ever heard.
Norwegian comes in a close second. Not because it sounds that beaufitul, but because it sounds so funny. Unfortunately I forgot almost all I knew, which wasn't much, so now I can just introduce myself and complain about the weather.
I started learning Arabic a few years ago, but never took it very seriously though. Last year I decided to finally learn enough Arabic to be able to get along and applied for a year-long language program in Kuwait.
