I'm Martin from Heidelberg in Germany, 30 years old and I'm a medical student.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a pretty cool couch. But when I travel, sometimes I can't take it with me so I like to get to know people who also have a pretty cool couch. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered Couchsurfing on a 4-week trip through Italy in 2012. I could not have done anything better, because I believe that getting to know the people is getting to know the country. (I don't care so much about guidebooks that tell me what I have to go see)

兴趣

I like the sea, rugby, motorcycles, summer,... doing things that I've never done before, getting to know different kinds of people... I love to do trips without planning them.
Also doing nothing at all is really awesome!
Some years ago I found out that I like to learn some languages, so I started with Italian. Spanish came a bit along with it and right now I have French on the menu. ;)

There are so many different kinds of music and there are so many different moods you can be in. It is great when music and mood match.
To name an example: Kings of Leon - Sex on fire, Awesome song!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I think the most breath-taking was to stand on the edge of the Grand Canyon. Also looking into the Vesuvio was very awesome. Then again, standing on the Etna... you see, I like vulcanos :D
