We are a family of 4. There's my husband, my son (19) and my daughter(21). My children are students and aren't always at home. I'm Martina and have been interested in people from all over the world my whole life. I'm a full-time teacher at a secondary school. Therefore I'd welcome guests preferably in the school holidays or from Friday until Sunday. This would give us more time to share. We have a big house, can offer a private room and bathroom. But we really live in the country - about 5km away from Abensberg. Abensberg is a nice small town and has a train station with good connections to Regensburg and Munich. (Trains there leave almost every hour). If you love nature and are also interested in going for walks or bike rides, then this is a good area for you. I would still recommend you have your own car.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great way to travel around the world on a low budget. I wished that 'd have had this opportunity when I was younger. We would like to meet interesting people. Young and old ! Or middle-aged !

I love all sorts of music. My favourite band of all time are the Rolling Stones.
I read so many books until I was about 30, that now I prefer other free time activities. May only read one book a year. Mostly crime stories or historical novels.

Don't want to be teaching in my free time, ;)
I can share meals with you. If you're lucky you 'll get some Bavarian food- in case the other family members are cooking. If I cook, it will be vegetarian food.
We would offer some Bavarian beer and like having a conversation in the evening.
