Two notes!
- I know my last hosting reference is really old, but I just got back to hosting as of November 2025!
- I prefer request that are not sent too far in advance, as I don’t like to plan too far ahead . The sweet spot for me is one week to two days before your planned arrival - that way, I can give you a definite answer and still have time to read your message and make any adjustments to my schedule if needed :)

I’m Martin! I grew up in the Swedish country side, and that’s where I spent the first 19 years of my life. After that, I spent 6ish years working odd jobs abroad and traveling around (two of these years were spent living in Norway, and the rest bumming around the rest of the world with my backpack). When I turned 25, I started studying at Malmö University, but I also spent some time at University of Macau. Since 2020 I work as a teacher - traveling when I can, but not as much as I want.

I don't live my life after a Lonely Planet - I do some occasional sight-seeing, but what I'm really interested in is normal everyday life of people in different places worldwide.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve hosted a fair bit, surfed a fair bit and been to a handful of meet-ups. Almost all has been brilliant.

I've been to some of the worlds biggest cities and at other times I've been days from nearest road. This world is amazing.
