About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Earning Friends and Miles in a Shared World

ABOUT ME

I could start saying that I'm planning a self-realization trip to the north pole, but hey, that wouldn't be me! The truth is that I live in Buenos Aires and work in Marketing. I'm a big fan of Seinfeld and I can't start my day without a tall caffe latte with non-fat milk from Starbucks.

PHILOSOPHY

A friend told me once: "Traveling opens doors to possibilities." That is so true. It's amazing all you can learn about different cultures and different languages. Traveling gives you a fresh new perspective of the world and of your own life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attend the weekly meetings and travel to the National Meetings (AKA "Invasions"). I also participate by offering my couch when I have the chance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I frequently visit our neighbors in the Couchsurfing group in La Plata. I met them for the first time in a National Meeting and they received me with open arms. What I admire most about them is how they share their interests with each other and keep the CS spirit high. So far I've made really good friends there.

I've participated in the following events:
- Meeting de los Jueves (Buenos Aires, 2014)
- Encuentro Nacional (La Plata, 2014)
- Locro del 25 de Mayo (La Plata, 2014)
- Despedida de Oscar Barreca (La Plata, 2014)
- Encuentro Nacional (Rosario, 2014)
- Campamento/Camping (Magdalena, 2014)
- Encuentro Nacional (Salta, 2015)

I've organized the following events:
- Springtime in front of the river (Buenos Aires, 2014)
- Night at the Cemetery (Buenos Aires, 2014)

Interests

I enjoy swimming, skiing, going to the cinema, watching TV, listening to the radio... and of course traveling and foreign languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of movies -I go to the theaters once a week for working reasons- and my favourites are: Back to the Future, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Shrek, Match Point, The Hangout and a local film titled "Historias Minimas".

I enjoy comedy, action flicks, thrillers... everything but horror movies!

The movie L'auberge espagnole ("Piso Compartido", 2002) totally blew my mind. It inspired me to travel to Europe and stay in hostels.

My favourite series of all time are 'Seinfeld' and 'Friends': I've collected all the seasons in their original boxes :)

I like listening to jazz, 80's classics, Argentine rock, pop, and a special shout out to the United Airlines jingle!

I read lots of business, marketing and advertising material because I am still studying. The last non-professional book I've read is the "Manual de Antiayuda" by the standup comedian Peto Menahem. A couchsurfing friend lent it to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I traveled without my dental floss.
