We are two couchsurfers: Both 30 years old, I am Martin, from England; and my girlfriend is Maike, from Germany and together we love adventure and meeting new people.

CURRENT MISSIONS

- To cycle from our front door in Manchester to Istanbul... and along the way, meet people from different places, and excitingly, look for a new place to call home on mainland Europe!
- To learn about other cultures, meet great people and see the world! Freespirits.

ABOUT US

We are sociable and outgoing people always up for a laugh. We love to help others in anyway possible and we are very much into the natural, minimalist way of life. We love hiking, camping, climbing mountains, growing our own veg, loving animals, food and exercise! We are both vegetarian, but happy to go with the flow and don't want to be an inconvenience - we can always make it work :-)
We have been together for 5 years and spent those years volunteering, working and travelling around the world, whilst also hitchhiking, couchsurfing and learning about how to love life!! ha

We love meeting new people, sharing experiences and visiting interesting places, so hope our paths cross so we can learn together!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make it. There are no set paths in life, follow your heart. Its about the journey, not the destination.

We both love meeting new people and getting a real sense of the country, rather than staying in hotels.
I have couchsurfed in Hungary, India, Nepal, Italy, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Ukraine, Romania, Thailand, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Tunisia, Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, Namibia, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania and Ethiopia!
