Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm Martin. I'm 26 and I call Vancouver my home. In my spare time I hike various trails and mountains here in BC. My favourite part of traveling and I think it's everyone else's too, is meeting the people. The sites are pretty cool too ;)
I enjoy not planning my trips, I go to great lengths to keep my travel plans flexible in hopes of the next highlight memory. While that hasn't worked out every single time, it has led me to experience incredible things and meet amazing people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Staying with a local gives you the opportunity to really experience what it's like to live in the city you're in. The authentic experience. That's pretty cool.
Interests
My interests include:
Kobe Bryant - the greatest athlete of all time,
Hockey - I'm Canadian and therefore obligated,
I like to read - though I don't read nearly enough
Hiking and camping - two things BC is amazing for
I like watching movies in theaters, and finally;
I love becoming best friends on the road for 2-3 days exploring a new city together even though it always comes with the very real chance of never seeing them again.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite author is Michael Connelly. I love superhero movies. And Game of Thrones is everything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done is drive a 1998 mini-van across North America. It was fun.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll try my best to make you laugh. And hopefully we can share some travel stories. I can also make a mean fried rice. Above all that though, I will be extremely grateful of your generosity and be as respectful of your home as if it were my own. Also I can buy you beer or two.
