About Me

Hey there!

I'm Martin, 33 years old and I'm from Münster, Germany. I work as an educational consultant and counselor with German students. From the end of July to December 2024 I am traveling through South and North America. At the moment I am exploring the USA.

My trip started in Brazil, where I explored the dream beaches of Rio de Janeiro and the jungles of Amazonia. Then I had the honor of attending a wedding in Colombia. In Ecuador, I rode my mountain bike down the volcanoes. After a few days in Toronto, Canada, I finally arrived in the United States of America. The main goal of my trip is to get to know the history, nature and people of this huge country. Within three months I am traveling from New York City to Los Angeles, trying to see as many places and talk to as many people as possible about life in their country.

WHAT DO I OFFER?
I would be very happy to be a guest in an American household and learn from the hosts. In return, I also try to enrich my host with my travel stories and insights from my culture. I am also happy to take on household tasks to make life easier for everyone involved.

MY INTERESTS AND HOBBIES:
I am a very curious person and therefore have many interests. For example, I like to study psychology and personal development, history and geography, culture and nature. That's why traveling is one of my biggest hobbies. To relax, I like to go to the sauna, a sporting event or a music festival.

WHY YOU SHOULD HOST ME:
Since I haven't been a guest at a host's place yet, I haven't been able to prove that I'm a pleasant couchsurfing guest. I would now like to change this with my first couchsurfing experience. I have lived in shared flats for several years and it is very important to me that everyone feels comfortable in their own home. It's important to me to treat each other with respect, to keep the apartment clean and to be considerate of each other's privacy. Therefore, I am sure that we would have a good time together and learn from each other.
I look forward to getting to know you!

Cheers,
Martin
