Hi! I´m Martu and I´m travelling with Francisco, my partner. I´m a chef and he is a photographer. We worked together in culinary projects for a long time and we have our own IG page and a web where we sell online cooking courses (@yocomook).

We are in our early 40´s and we had just started a journey we have been dreaming of for a long time. We left our country to be nomads for a while. With no plans or fixed destinations. We are now ending our first part of the trip after being 8 months in Sicily and are now going to Portugal.

We are really excited about this new chapter of our life, eager to meet new people, places and share experiences, and food! Of course! We enjoy sharing food and talking about different ways of approaching food in different cultures.

We left in Argentina our big fury family (a cat and 5 dogs) that are still living at home with 2 dear friends that are spoiling then with tones of love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing many years ago but never had the chance to really use it. And now is the perfect opportunity. I believe this platform is a great way to really connect with places and its people. Sharing languages, stories, different kinds of food and experiences is the best cultural exchange one can have and we are really looking forward to see this happen.

I have no doubts that quitting our business and leaving our home town, family, friends after all this time, to pursue a dream...the dream of travelling and see where life takes us, is our most amazing thing.
