About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn languages, discover cultures, meet people, travel the world!

ABOUT ME

I am 24 year old, I was born in Alba, north-west Italy. I lived in a small town, close to Alba, called Treiso with my family until I was 19. After high school I moved to Turin where I studied Biomedical Engineering at University. I shared a flat with other girls and these have been five amazing, funny and formative at the same time years for me. During Univeristy I didn't go abroad, now I've finished and it's time to leave!I'm moving to Melbourne, Australia, for working at University for 3 years. I can't wait! what I need now is living new expiriences, meeting people and making new friends and visiting wherever is possible!
I am interested in sharing my past and future experiences with the ones of other people, I am naturally curious especially regarding travels, cultures, ways of living.

PHILOSOPHY

I strongly believe in "carpe diem", life is too short for being wasted. So I would like to learn how exploiting every moment during every day for doing something I want and not I must or I am requested or it is better to do. I would like to never have to say "I have no time for that".
I think that the world is full of so different, amazing places and people that should be travelled all around, from the tiny open country village to the busy polluted metropolis.
I give a great importance to close friends and, especially, family: I think the best and useful advices and teachings almost always come from parents or relatives. I love share my experiences with them.

Interests

my first interest is represented by travels: I love going abroad, visiting foreign Countries and meeting people. My favourite travels are the un-planned ones, I mean when I leave without a well pre-scheduled way, deciding day by day where to go! I love camping, eating typical food, finding new friends.
I love sports (running, soccer, volleyball, skiing), reading and music.
I also like research: I am starting a doctoral project at University, about biomedical devices. This is a very interesting and exciting field for me: I finally can apply what I have studied until now and go ahead for learning more about this complex and various area.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love thriller and dramatic movies. My favourite are The diparted, Changeling, Milk, Into the wild, Pearl Arbor,... I also like Woody Allen's movies (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Midnight in Paris, Match Point). One of the actor I like more is Sean Penn.
I like reading: among the best books I have ever read there are some italian novels, geisha memoirs, the wind shadow.
I love listening to music when I am relaxing or practicing sports. I like rock and country music (Italian groups, Eddie Vedder and Pearl jam, Enya, Coldplay,...).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I went to Medford, Oregon, United States and I spent there three weeks hosted by a local family. The daughter is my age and we started a strong friendship. I hosted her twice and we still are in touch and we are planning to visit each other. This experience taught me how I am intrigued by different cultures and ways of live.
