ABOUT ME

I know that I don't know enough.

So recently, I decided to pack a bag (a very heavy one) and change my life. Having lived in Scotland since the age of 11, I went to university there, but something felt wrong, I didn't consider things to be done in a logical order. I would open up chapters before closing those that preceded. Last summer I decided to put it all on hold and prioritise. Here have I come to France, living, travelling, volunteering on organic farms/bakeries, absorbing this beautiful and literary languaage, doing what I can to manage on my own as a first-time lone traveller - all to realise a life long dream of simply being in France.

This is a self-cleansing adventure where I attempt to grow up and find my niche. The only two friends that I took with me are my writing notebook and a '50s folding camera. Otherwise, having left everything behind me, I am doing this to learn how to be self-sufficient and happy just by living. Life can be tough, but I have enough support within myself to be happy in spite of that! Always in search of beauty of all kinds, I often get depressed when it's cold and it rains. But I do like snow.

I am naturally a kind person (or always try to be) and open-minded, because really, only people can teach you. But I strive to stay away from pessimism. And always stay myself.

PHILOSOPHY

The longer I live, the more convinced I am that man is a slave. To own self-imposed expectations.

Change myself before changing the world.

For me, A Higher Order of Things exists. But it's my own private belief.

I am not here by random chance. Since I was born I've known I have a mission. I'm yet to find it.

I have so much love in me, I'm bursting with love! For people, for a certain number of people, for the landscape, for literature, for the sky at night, for you stranger, for creations of all types.

Zainteresowania

Literature, writing, vegetarian cooking, street-bonding, languages, meditation, alternative and sustainable living, music of all kinds (Joni!), house plants, Eastern Europe, old movies, imagination and creativity, anything that is not modern invention. I wish I knew more - but soon!

Some aims for the future: learn to speak French and Russian fluently and try a Balkan language, complete my novel, play piano, learn to be self-sufficient and sustainable (make my own clothes and essential cosmetics), get into the topic of medicinal herbs, travel through entire Eastern Europe.

Sat in on a bench in Edinburgh with a piece of paper asking strangers for smiles. After some half an hour received one smile and a half.
