I’m 18 years old and I want to start travelling more this year. I’m from Canada. I’m in University (I will be in my second year this fall.) I love fashion! I’ve also always had a passion for travelling ever since I can remember. I’m a nice, fun and outgoing person. I love meeting new people and getting to learn new culture. I guess that’s what makes me want to travel even more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m looking to travel more and I would like to couch surf at a local’s place because that way I can really learn their culture and explore the city or the place I’m travelling to. Not just the tourist spots but the places where locals go so I can get the full experience.

Interests

I love singing and music in general. I also like dancing and watching movies. I like playing tennis and most importantly I like travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love RnB, Jazz, and Pop. I usually listen to chill music because it relaxes me. I also like listening to Jazz saxophone and music from the 50s and 60s. Frank Sinatra, Nat Kingcole.

Movies: I love Comedies and Romantic-Comedies and Action movies. Not a big fan of Horror movies. My favourite movie would have to be Leon the Professional.

Books: I’m not really a big reader.

I’m about to embark on what I think will be the most Amazing thing I will do—to travel by myself!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach other people my culture because even though I’m a Canadian citizen, I am Filipino and I’ve spent sometime in the Philippines. I am more than willing to share, talk about and discuss the Filipino culture and or the Canadian culture.

Learn: I would love to learn other people’s cultures as well. And learn about their interests. Learn about what the locals do in their everyday life and where they go. Pretty much see and explore a new place in the eyes of a local.

Share: I could share my knowledge on almost anything. I can also share my experiences in life as I am an open book.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share pretty much my experiences and knowledge and culture. Like I said, I’m an open book and would be willing to share what the host would want to know. I’m also a generous person so I always offer other people what I have, for example, food. But one thing I love sharing with other people is good music. I always recommend new and fresh music to my friends.
