My Name is Marvin, I'm 21 years old and currently studying Physics in the beautiful city of Constance in Southern Germany.
I love travelling and meeting new people, as well as going hiking. With my 21 years I'm already a well-travelled person and spent for instance 15 months in New Zealand, where I completed the national long distance hike "Te Araroa".
I'm uncomplicated, open-minded and easy-going person, who just loves getting out there and see the world!
Open for everything, I like relaxing and drinking beer just as much as going on an adventure. I'm also up for the occasional party!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Like mentioned above, I love travelling.
And in my opinion nothing beats discovering a new place with help of locals, for they know the best corners!
When doing a long distance hike, I occasionally need a few days rest, which I'd love to spent chilling out with some people (because it gets lonely sometimes). And staying with locals is much more interesting than in a hostel.

Well... used to :D
Nowadays I'm listening to atmospheric and mostly instrumental music, classified under the genre Post-Rock and Post-Metal. With tracks ranging from 10 to 20 minutes, one single song catches a wide range of different themes and aspects which makes it really exciting and extraordinary.

In movies I'm a rather serious guy. I just love movies which leave you speechless and thinking for a while.

My absolute favourite book is "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. It is just a terrific book, which never fails to put a smile on my face :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In February 2015 I finished the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand. This 3000km long trail was my first long distance hike and got me started doing those sorts of things. From now on I'll try to get out there at least once a year and spend a few weeks in the wild. Which is why I need some support (from couch surfing hosts e.g. :D )
to where I can spend my rest days.
