Hey there! I’m Marvin – a stand-up comedian and improviser from Hamburg, Germany, with Jamaican-German roots. This summer, I’m traveling through North America to explore the comedy and improv scenes, meet new people, and soak up inspiration for my shows back home.

I’d say I’m a relaxed, open-minded, and humorous person who loves connecting with others. I’m curious about different cultures and always up for good conversations, spontaneous adventures, or just sharing a laugh.

When I’m not on stage or in an improv class, I enjoy discovering local cafés, hanging out in parks, or simply people-watching and taking in the vibe of a new city. I’m tidy and respectful in shared spaces – I always clean up after myself and try to leave places better than I found them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe that the best part of traveling is meeting people – not just seeing places. I love connecting with locals, hearing their stories, and getting a feel for what life is really like in a city beyond tourist spots.

As a comedian and improviser, I’m naturally drawn to real, spontaneous human moments – and Couchsurfing is full of them. It’s not just a way to find a place to sleep, but a way to share, learn, and hopefully give something back, whether that’s a good conversation, a cultural exchange, or a laugh after a long day.

Traveling through North America this summer, I’m especially looking forward to getting to know creative communities and everyday people who make each place unique.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The past years have been quite an advanture. I´'ve been to so many great places (Atlanta, Chicago, Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver, Montreal, Quebec City, and many more) and I´ve met so many wonderful people. I lived and traveled in a camper van for half a year and I performed comedy in many places.
