Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I've lived and worked in 8 Latin American countries but there's so much about my own country that I don't yet know. I thought couch surfing would be a great way to meet people and learn about new places. Plus, I'm a glutton for a good story!

Música, películas y libros

Favorites are so hard for me because I love too many things! I listen to anything minus music that sounds angry and I eat books like grapes. I mostly read non-fiction and memoir. As for movies, I'll watch most anything minus horror, and I gravitate towards documentaries or comedies. I recently saw Captain Fantastic and loved it.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I lived in Paraguay for 3 years as Peace Corps Volunteer- it was a blessing to live and learn among Paraguayan farmers and it gave me a perspective that I give thanks for to this day. For the first two years I lived in a shed in a beautiful jungle and taught farmers how to keep bees, drank lots of yerba mate (tea) and ate my weight in fresh fruit right from my front yard. For the 3rd year I lived in the capital and worked for USAID as a volunteer interviewing farmers.
