I am a Midwestern gal thru and thru having spent the best part of my childhood on dairy farms in the beautiful driftless (where the glacier didn't reach 10,000 years ago) area of western Wisconsin . I also consider myself very much as coming of age in the 60"s at a progressive university, U.W. Madison, that has informed especially my political thinking since.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My daughter's family has traveled extensively using couchsurfing and had an early experience with hosting a swedish filmmaker in a very tiny graduate student housing apartment with three little kids

My main interest is connecting with people and I am about to embark on a year-long travel adventure including living in Europe for some time

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my twenties I was able to travel on an Iranian C130 transport plane as an only passenger
