I'm a first-time traveler in Europe, but a seasoned backpacker. I've been a Registered Nurse for most of my life, and also teach/tutor English as a Second Language. I'm the mom of eight mostly-grown kids, none of whom will be traveling with me, but almost all of whom love travel as much as I do. My husband, who does travel with me, is named Antonio; he grew up homeschooled in the mountains of Mexico and has wonderful stories. He has a law degree and is a family court mediator. We'll be in Europe from January through March, with a flexible schedule.

I co-hosted a show on the Travel Channel years ago; it was called 5 Takes: Latin America. For nine weeks, I traveled around with four other cast members and a small crew, visiting seven countries and seeing so many natural wonders and UNESCO World Heritage sites! It was fantastic! Three months after I got home, my husband and I took seven of our eight children to see Machu Picchu (they were ages 4-12 at the time; it was an adventure) -- I wanted them all to experience what I had experienced.
