ABOUT ME

I don't really know what to put here, just that I'm a bit of a free-spirit. I love to explore, I get restless pretty quickly, I'm outgoing, I like to think I'm pretty easy-going. I like to read, I like to sing, I like food and wine, I like to talk. I love people, my family is really close, and I have a group of really close friends, but I love meeting new people! Lastly, writing is about my favorite thing in the world. I hope to be a journalist someday!

Right now, just traveling. But when I have a place someday, I would love to be able to host surfers!

None, yet, but I'm shopping around for my first solo travel experience in Europe!

Interests

I love books and reading. I obviously love to travel. I'm an amateur photographer. I like to explore new places, I like to sing, I like to learn things, but not necessarily in class! I like to have fun, of course, and trying new foods. I like to shop, but I never have any money! At home, I live at the beach, so I love all things beach related. I surf and I swim. I'm a lifeguard and a time waitress in the summers, and I work in the library at my school. I also love horseback riding. I'm a French major in Washington, DC, so I speak both English and French!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of classic books, movies, and music. I love Dickens and Austen, CS Lewis, Lewis Carrol, The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, Catch-22 (and many, many more!). I also like books and authors that aren't considered classics yet: Vonnegut, John Irving, John Green, the Harry Potter books, the Hunger Games, and so many more that I can't even think of off the top of my head.

As for music, I like classic rock, and I like alternative, rock, folk, blues, acoustic, etc. music that's more recent. Fleet Foxes, Bombay Bicycle Club, Tilly and the Wall, the Black Keys, Arcade Fire... the list really does just go on and on.

I like all sorts of movies. My all time favorite movie is Casablanca, but I'll go see (and enjoy) just about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Coming to Paris to live and study at the Sorbonne has been one huge, incredible experience. I love the way of life here, and I love being in a city that's so old and beautiful.
And another incredible experience was when I did an exchange program in England during high school. I lived with a family, and then got to host the student that hosted me later in the year. I still talk to them, and I'm going to visit at the end of my time in Europe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to be able to share my own culture, and the things I have learned from the other cultures I have been fortunate enough to experience, with new people, and to learn as much as possible about the lives of people in these other incredible places.
